There is a story behind every Wild Fibres piece—one that begins with travel, natural texture and a love of clothing made for real life.
Before we started the business, we were a couple travelling through different parts of the world with big appreciation to the environment. In Nepal, we found ourselves drawn to the raw character of natural fabrics: earthy tones, imperfect beauty and clothing that seemed to hold a story before it even reached your hands.
That experience shaped our eye for fashion. We were attracted to a bohemian style of clothing that felt expressive but grounded pieces with movement, softness, personality and a connection to craft.

Drawn to Small Workshops
From the beginning, we were naturally drawn to working with small workshops rather than large factories. We loved walking into a space and seeing people behind sewing machines, making garments with care, close to the rhythm of the shop and the work itself. It felt personal, creative and real.
We have never built Wild Fibres around mass production. Today, we continue to work with small workshops, with our largest workshop employing around 12 people. This allows us to stay connected to the process, communicate closely around each design, and produce in smaller batches.
Why Small Batches Matter
Small-batch production means we can be more thoughtful. Rather than producing huge quantities of a style before we know how it will be received, we can refine, adjust and grow more slowly. It helps us avoid creating unnecessary excess, while giving each design the time it needs to become something we are truly proud of.
A Wild Fibres piece is rarely created in one quick step. Many designs are developed, adjusted and perfected over months. We look at the cut, the way the fabric falls, how the waist sits, and how a garment moves when you dance, stretch, sit on the ground or walk through the day.
We want every piece to feel beautiful, but also to feel good on a real body.

Fabric Chosen for Real Life
Our fabrics include cotton, Nepali cotton, Indian cotton, Balinese cotton, Thai viscose and rayon. We choose fabrics for their texture, drape, softness and the freedom they can offer the body.
Cotton is naturally absorbent and breathable, while viscose and rayon bring beautiful flow and movement to a garment. The feel of a fabric also depends on its weave: it can be light and airy, soft and fluid, or more structured while still allowing the body space to move.
At summer festivals, this matters. Long days in the sun, dancing, yoga and sitting on the ground call for clothing that feels comfortable against the skin and does not leave you feeling trapped, overheated or restricted.
We believe getting dressed should support the experience—not distract from it.
Longevity Is Part of the Design
We are always looking for the balance between texture, movement, comfort and longevity. But we have learned that a fabric needs to do more than sound good on paper.
We are also moving more and more toward timeless design. Rather than chasing every passing trend, we want to create pieces that still feel beautiful, relevant and worth wearing a decade from now. Our aim is to stay creatively ahead while designing clothing with enough character, versatility and quality to outlast a single season.
Some fabrics that appear very natural or eco-minded can stretch too much, lose their shape or stop sitting beautifully on the body over time. When that happens, a garment may be worn less or replaced sooner—which is not the outcome we want.
For us, longevity matters. We would rather make clothing that is loved, worn repeatedly and kept for years. That is why we choose materials with care, including fabrics that balance natural fibres with the stretch and recovery needed for everyday movement.
Care Makes a Difference
Cold washing or hand washing, turning garments inside out, and treating prints and fabrics gently can help them stay beautiful for many years. A well-loved garment should gather memories, not simply be replaced when a season changes.
Bohemian Fashion Made for Movement
For us, bohemian fashion is not about following a trend. It is about choosing clothes with soul: expressive prints, comfortable silhouettes, natural textures and pieces that give you room to move through life in your own way.

A pair of flowing pants can carry you from a morning yoga class to a day in town. Leggings can move from a bush walk to a café. A printed top, flare or skirt can feel just as right at a market as it does beneath festival lights.
That versatility is at the heart of Wild Fibres. Our pieces are inspired by festival culture, but they are made to be lived in beyond it. They carry a little of that festival freedom into ordinary days: the permission to move, the confidence to wear colour and print, and the reminder that comfort can be part of self-expression.
Maybe that is one of the gifts of festival fashion: it helps us remember that we do not need to wait for a special occasion to feel free.
